Auto-restart of MQ Native HA pods on OpenShift when a referenced secret changes

We run the latest MQ operator (channel v4.0-sc2, MQ v10.0.0.0) as NativeHA pods on OpenShift 4.20, co-hosted with ACE v13 / manufacturing pack v3 across several factories. When cert-manager renews the MQ keystore certificate stored in a secret, th...

IBM should provide the flexibility to operate a single port at different speeds when the hardware supports higher bandwidth. At present, the 100G ports appear to require a dedicated 100G connection rather than allowing operation at lower speeds. While the appliance already provides 1G, 10G, and limited 40G options, once higher-bandwidth connectivity is introduced it becomes a business decision as to which speed is appropriate for the environment. Allowing the 100G ports to operate at multiple speeds would provide greater flexibility and help align the connectivity choice with the actual business requirement.

Evenly Distribution of Connections to available QMGRs in a LPAR

As part of an IBM recommendation, we are implementing a second Queue Manager in each CICS LPAR of our Production environment. In our tests, in an test environment with more than one QMGR is available, we have observed that the connections are NOT ...

DLQ Handling in the Console – Remove DLQ Headers Before Resending Messages

When a message has been moved to the Dead Letter Queue (DLQ) and needs to be resend, the DLQ-related headers must be removed before resend the message. If these headers remain, the message will be routed back to the DLQ instead of being processed ...

MQ Console: allow copy and move message functionality for MQWebUser role

The MQ Console 9.4.5 introduced message copy and move functionality, which is very useful. It would be even more useful if users with the role MQWebUser would get access to this functionality as well.

Enable IBM MQ to integrate directly with HashiCorp Vault for certificate and secret retrieval across all supported deployment models, including traditional on-premises deployments, virtualized environments, and IBM MQ deployments managed by the IBM MQ Operator on OpenShift.

This capability would eliminate the need to persist sensitive certificate and secret material as Kubernetes Secret objects within OpenShift, reducing the exposure of cryptographic assets and aligning with enterprise security standards that favor c...

MQ Web Console - show full list of cluster queue managers and identify suspended ones

Use case / problem We run IBM MQ 9.4 on OpenShift containers with the MQ Web Console enabled. From Manage -> Queue Manager -> MQ Network the console tells us a cluster's name, total queue manager count, suspended count, and health summary - ...

MQWeb Console as Standalone Docker Image

The MQWeb Console already enables us to create a centralized interface to access queue managers for all our users (including authn/authz with LDAP). It would be much easier to host a centralized mq web console, if it would exist as a standalone im...

Implement per-channel SSL/TLS certificate refresh capability to eliminate queue manager-wide client disconnections during certificate updates.

Currently, when onboarding new clients or updating certificates in IBM MQ, the refresh security type(ssl) command disconnects ALL existing SSL connections across the entire queue manager. This creates significant operational challenges: Service di...
