Background:

In V5 Developer Portal, we used to have restrict access by IP feature and in V2018 reserved instance User Restrictions- Allowed IP Range. When we tested this feature in V2018 - we see it's not working due to Cloud Hosting being unable to get the original client IP that is accessing the portal. IBM Classified the issue as a Deployment Configuration Issue and tried to fix it but they have challenges in resolving it and is left open till now.



We still need this feature, as our security team mandates we restrict external developer portal access to our NON-PROD environments. Only approved whitelisted partners should be able to see the NON-PROD portals. The portals should not be publicly available. We also need to whitelist our internal portals (those that contain APIs we will never share outside of Humana) so that only Humana Network IP Ranges can access them.

Also can you have someone tell us what active threat protection features (like those available in Akamai) we have for our portals.

    The current cloud architecture of RI does not allow the portal to access end user's IPs. We have not seen this request before and suggest connecting with the IBM Cloud network team on a recommended configuration.
