API Manager should have a feature to put it under maintenance mode to prevent front-end disruption during back-end development / work by the Platforms team. Access will be controlled by team, and maintenance windows will be automated and announced via the UI.

Hi Carlos,
This is a good idea, and we're going to tentatively schedule it for a release in 2026. Our 2H25 backlog is very, very densely packed already, and I don't think there's a way to squeeze this in any earlier than that. I am creating an epic and marking this as planned for future release.
Thanks,
Aaron
Hi Aaron, is there any additional information you need regarding this idea? Just asking as this is still in 'Needs more information' status.
Looking forward to hearing from you and best regards,
Carlos
Good morning, Aaron. Thank you for taking the time to review this idea. My team is responsible for providing platform support to the V10 API Connect server infrastructure, which is set up across two data centers in both Pre-PROD and PROD environments.
In the event that we need to implement changes or upgrades to any part of the server infrastructure or gateways, such as an OpenShift upgrade, we would like the ability to activate the 'Maintenance Mode' flag within the API Manager. This feature will ensure that users cannot log in while it is enabled, nor can they promote any changes to any of their API Products through the establish deployment pipeline during the execution of these updates.
Does this make sense? Please let me know if you need more detail about this idea.
Hi Carlos,
Can you please provide a bit more detail / context about what you're trying to accomplish?
Thanks,
Aaron
