Cookie Path set to Root

We have identified a vulnerability in the Developer Portal subsystem where the cookie “Path” attribute is set to the root directory (“/”). This configuration may allow an attacker to gain unauthorized access to cookies from other applications on the same subdomain. To mitigate this risk, it is recommended to set the “Path” attribute to the specific virtual directory of the application instead of the root.

    Hi AARON,

We have already raised a support case with the team, and the team asked to raise the idea in the portal, kindly use the case-id TS018647223

apologies, everyone, but the Ideas portal is not the right mechanism for bringing a suspected vulnerability to IBM's attention. This needs to be raised via a support ticket. Please note that disposition of this Idea does not reflect whether or not IBM intends to change the product, it simply reflects that this is not the right channel in which to discuss these issues.
