Migration Strategy: Clean Install

One of my Customers is in the process of migrating from API Connect from 10.0.5.x to 10.0.8. Customer wanted to have a fresh environment installed to gradually migrate their APIs while maintaining the operability of their platform. The client has made progress with the migration of most of the objects manually by using the API CLI toolkit and REST APIs. However, there is no adequate way to migrate the client secrets of their applications. This implies extra work for the client that was not contemplated since these keys are protected by regulation by another IT team.

I believe, you should look at the ConfigSync feature of API Connect. It will help copy the artifacts related to the consumer organizations, which includes Clientid and Secrets too.

It can work when migrating between V10.0.5.x to V10.0.8.x  https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/api-connect/10.0.8_lts?topic=apis-using-config-sync-replicate-catalog-data
