Support for Custom JSON Scalar Type in GraphQL for API Gateway in DataPower LTS Version

In IBM API Gateway (LTS version 10.6.0.x), the custom JSON scalar type or literal JSON type is not supported in GraphQL schemas. When defined, it causes the validation error in Graphql Execute policy:

"Scalar Field "jsonField" has not a scalar value"

For example, the schema might look like:

scalar JSON

testNodeJson: JSON

testNodesJson: [JSON]

Currently, APIC applies stricter validation requiring leaf nodes to use standard scalar types (e.g., int, string, etc.), preventing custom types like JSON or literal JSON from being used.

Requested Enhancement:
We request that IBM API Gateway support custom JSON scalar types or literal JSON types in GraphQL schemas. This would allow fields to return JSON objects in the response without triggering validation errors.

This enhancement will improve flexibility for handling dynamic, complex data structures in GraphQL proxy APIs.
