Unable to hide values defined in properties section in APIC design Merged

We defined confidential variables(security credentials) in properties section under APIC design of a particular API in APIC.
Now we are trying to hide those values in properties section
Because People who are having access to APIC are able to see the values, So it is a security issue for us.
Could you please let us know how we can hide or restrict visibility for viewing values of the defined variables under properties section.

IBM suggested to select encode option in the API design, we selected but still able see the data in .yaml file

We rasied PMR#TS002568572 with IBM and got the following information.

Currently there is no mechanism to automatically encrypt property value in apim and decrypt it when it is being used (on Datapower GW, or in the backend service). Some mitigations are:

- Implement the encryption/decryption in your backend services and manages the encryption key on your own.

- Limit who can access draft APIs by assigning proper roles and/or using custom role/permissions.



Based on the above Development team response, I would recommend opening a RFE for future consideration.
