Proxy server support

Using on VMware in an on-premise environment, we are encountering connectivity issues towards external dependencies.
It's a corporate policy to route all traffic requiring Internet access through a central proxy. This requires APIC to pass the corporate proxy for any outbound connection.
We tried to configure these proxy settings at the machine level but unfortunately, it didn't work.
Each time APIC tries to establish an outbound connection an internal server error (ECONNREFUSED) is thrown.
After some research together with IBM experts, we noticed that this is not supported in the latest version of APIC.

Via this RFE we would like to urge IBM to support proxy server settings in API Connect v2018.

    Outbound Proxy configuration because of company restrictions would still be usefull. 

    The use case for us are OIDC provider in the internet. Normaly we are doing this over some IP activation and exception rules... but because more of this provider are locatet in akamai (content network) with huge changing IP ranges ... the only remaining solution is a selfhostet outbound proxy which uses the comapny proxy to solve the request... this works - but doesn't look fine and is operational overhead.

    Maybe you are considering this feature again?

    I have a client as well that is requesting this feature in APIC 10.0.5.x. It is an urgent need for 2023.
