As described in https://swagger.io/specification an API specification can define parameters where each parameter can be defined by a schema object.
With the help of the schema object an API developer can define validation rules for parameters. These rules should be validated on the gateway.
Please not, that this does not only apply to the request body but to all other parameter locations, that are availabe in OAS spec.

Hi Swetha,
I'm referring to the OASv3 Spec Schema Object:
"The Schema Object allows the definition of input and output data types. These types can be objects, but also primitives and arrays. This object is an extended subset of the JSON Schema Specification Wright Draft 00."
Regards
Markus
Hi Markus,
Thanks for your request. Are you referring to validating the parameters with the standard open api spec or validating the parameters with the schema defined?
Thank you.
