Expose value of APIm-Debug-Trans-Id as a context variable

We currently make use of APIm-Debug: true request header to get the APIm-Debug-Trans-Id value so as to search for the related Analytics event when something goes wrong. Often, we also need to look at downstream systems. It would be very beneficial if we could get a handle to this value in the assembly, so as to be able to send it to backend systems so that we can more easily correlate the Analytics event with backend logs.

Thank you for your request we are not looking at providing enhancements or new features to the v5c Gateway Service. In the API Gateway Service we have made the header value x-global-transaction-id accessible in the the assembly via session.globalTransactionID https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/api-connect/10.0.5.x_lts?topic=reference-api-connect-context-variables

In the new API Gateway Service with access the the x-global-transaction-id what is the reason for needing to accessing the apim-debug-trans-id headers? What type of logic operations would you looking at supporting. This detail would be helpful for assessing this request.
