APIC dynamic scope

In order to be compliant with Open Banking/PSD2 regulation, oauth need to support rich authorization data in conformance with RFC 6749.

Open Banking/PSD2 proposes Lodging Intent Pattern(An extensive description can be found at the OpenID Foundation’s FAPI WG site(https://bitbucket.org/openid/fapi/src/master/Financial_API_Lodging_Intent.md)).

This pattern uses a HTTP resource to represent the transaction authorization data and passes a link to this resource into the authorization process. The HTTP response contains the id of the resource. This identifier is then used in the authorization request to refer the authorization server to this resource. NextGenPSD2 uses a dynamic scope value (like “paymentId:12569acd”). The authorization server then obtains the transaction details from this resource and use it to parameterize the authorization process.

In version 5, this implementation was possible in datapower in multi protocol gateway. Changes to V10 no longer offer the same options.

Having dynamic scope supported natively through internal functionality of APIC would facilitate straightforward implementation of Lodging Intent Pattern.
