Ctrl-alt-del on console immediately reboots a Datapower

Sending a ctrl-alt-del to the console of a datapower gateway (vmware-appliance) results in a immediate reboot of that server (no confirmation asked). This has resulted in an accidental reboot of one of our production servers.

The reasons why I think this behaviour should be modified:

• Most Linux distributions (but not all) by default reboot (without asking for confirmation) if you press ctrl-alt-del on the console (like MS-DOS)
• On every Linux distribution it is easy to modify the behaviour of this ‘three-finger-salute'
• From https://www.linuxtechi.com/disable-reboot-using-ctrl-alt-del-keys/: It is always recommended in production boxes that one should disable reboot using Ctrl-Alt-Del keys
• My organization has no access to the root shell of a datapower to modify this
• On Windows server ctrl-alt-del disables the screensaver and shows a login screen
• Most vm's (hundreds, maybe even thousands) that are managed by my organization's vmware team run Windows server; in production we run four datapower-vm's
• My organization has proved that pressing ctrl-alt-del on a vmware console can happen accidentally
• This accidentally pressing ctrl-alt-del has been the start of a unavailability of our API Management platform for 6 hours and 20 minutes.
