Additional use of "SMTP Server Connection"

Our Datapower sends mails and we have been asked to start using TLS & encryption but we cannot meet the request: - SMTP log targets are missing TLS and authentication capabilities. - At the same time dpsmtp(s) URLs for the dp:url-open complex to write/code On the other hand, A SMTP server can be configured with TLS client, STARTTLS and authentication in "Configure SMTP Server Connection" but the server definition is only available for use in B2B partners profiles. Couldn't the SMTP server definitions (B2B module only?) be reused as SMTP log target destinations - and be referenced from a dp:url-open URL?
