This is an IBM Automation portal for Integration products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

We request the following 2 functions
1) Payload size limit can be set uniformly in DPGW, not for each API definition.
2) Restrictions/limitations of payload size can be placed on not only the response but also the payload size of the request
Because we are building APIConnect on-premises, we think that payload size limit should be set ""uniformly"" rather than payload size limitation by defining information of each API of each application .
We understand it will be possible to limit the payload size of the response by setting the ""x-ibm-gateway-api-enforce-response-limits: true"" to the API property defined for each API in 5.0.8.3, however it is not sufficient.
When a large amount of payload is transmitted at one time, the the back end application that exposes the Web API are overused, and there is a possibility that it may affect other Web APIs' latency on premise enviroment.
In the worst case, the application server may go down, which may have a fatal influence on the end user businesses.
