Discovering software on shared disks, Optimized mode - Automatic scanning of remote shared disks: allow the evolution of the servers on which to discover the software installed on the shared disks and in particular allow the removal of servers on which to discover the software installed on the shared disks

The Optimized mode - Automatic scanning of remote shared disks method does not seem to work correctly when you no longer want to scan shared disks on a server.

I launched the Discover Remote Shared Disks action on a set of servers which creates an LMT\CIT \xxxxx_remotedisks.info file on those servers.

When the Shared Disk Information analysis is active, it is launched on the servers where it finds this file.

When importing into ILMT via Data Imports: in order to inventory the shared disks, if we use the Optimized mode - Automatic scanning of remote shared disks method by activating the autoscan_shared_disks_enable parameter, ILMT designates the servers to be scanned for each mounted File system by running an Optimized Shared Disks Scan Update Resources List action on these servers. This for all files system returned by the Shared Disk Information analysis.

I have reduced the number of servers I want to discover shared disks on by starting a new Discover Remote Shared Disks action on these new servers.

The problem is that the Shared Disk Information analysis starts on the servers where it finds the LMT\CIT \xxxxx_remotedisks.info file and this file is still on the servers that I no longer want to process.

ILMT designates servers that I no longer want to process for inventory on mounted filesystems.

An Initiate Software Scan on Shared Disks action is run on these servers.

I delete the LMT\CIT\xxxxx_remotedisks.info file on 2 of the servers for which I no longer want inventories on shared disks.

The Shared Disk Information analysis no longer starts on these 2 servers.

ILMT is still awaiting inventory on shared disks on these servers.

I passed autoscan_shared_disks_enable parameter to false then to true in ILMT.

I have run a Data Imports in ILMT.

ILMT has designated the 2 servers to scan mounted filesystems.
