in my customers environment a bunch of software reports are saved and sent out in frequent times so the responsible persons can check for their relevant installs.
For compliance and verification of an update of LMT the customer requests a fresh report before and after the install of an LMT update.
So before the update the admin has to select each saved report, open it and generate the PDF and manually send it. Or he has to change the scheduled time to some time in the near future, to get the scheduler to create the report in e.h. half an hour. Then he has to wait until all report have been generated by the scheduler. The he can perform the upgrade.
After the upgrade again he has to update the schedule to some time in the near future, wait for the scheduled report and finally update the reports again to get back into the regular schedule for e.g. Monday morning.
This is very tedious and error prone.
It would be great, if there is either an API call to generate and send out any save report to the distribution list stored in the saved reports view.
Or it would be neat to have a button "Generate and send now!" on the details panel of each report. And it would be neat, if the URL for the API call is available from that page too, so it has not be created manually.
I also noticed, you can export and import the saved reports via API requests (e.g. for backup purposes), but it does not include the scheduler information. Otherwise this trick could have been used for a workaround.
