This is an IBM Automation portal for Integration products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

SSL certificates can have OCSP validation. This sends a request to an external URL asking if this certificate is valid. The OCSP server replies yes or no.
The request can time out.
For sender channels we can find the URL from the certificate. For a receiver channel, we do not know what the URL is, so we cannot trace/ping it.
We need a new message in the AMQError log saying
"OCSP request to URL.. for certificate with DN.. took x milliseconds." The reply was "OK"
This tells us
1) The name of the URL
2) How long the request took (including a time out)
3) The return value if any

When looking at future priorities, this is not something that we expect to be able to implement in the next couple of years. Therefore this idea is now being declined.
This is something we hope to address in a future version of MQ
This also is a problem for CLIENT SVRCONN channels. It took a SSL Client Trace to understand why the MQRC 2393 was being returned - due to OCSP timeout failure.
