It's the first time I'm installing MFT agent after MQ V7.5.
I experience that a lot of stuff is now installed, which is of no use, for a MFT agent only install.
For example : creation of user and group mqm (while our agent is running with another name and so mqm is not needed) and the /var/mqm folder : everything except the mqft folder - I could agree with the error folder as well for the FFDCs - but the other stuff ?
/etc/opt/mqm/mqinst.ini - something I don't find in the old version - but can that not be part of the MQ_DATA_PATH (which could be handy to have this as a parameter at the install as well, in case multiple agent have to run on 1 system).
For me, the need of the install of mqm.base.runtime, gives quite some overhead, if you only need an MFT agent, couldn't what is needed here, be put in one of the agents filesets ?
another thing that could be handy is having a template for the properties files (note config of an agent has not yet been done, so maybe I'm acting too early on that)
