Support for SSH certificate authentication is available in the MQ Appliance firmware from version 9.3.3. For more information see https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/mq-appliance/9.3?topic=management-ssh-authentication-cli-sessions
After submitting my last update I only realised I had already submitted a comment on this RFE which I completely forgot about. I think now it is more critical for us since my update in 2019
I only heard about this RFE and want to express my full support for implementing this RFE. My company has recently move critifcal applications to the MQ appliance and need to run scripts to back up MQ applinace files off the MQ appliance in the event we lose an MQ appliace and need to restore. We had IBM write these scripts and for some backup the only way to run them was to use the EXPECT code and have to include a password to run them We are having a lot of issues with our security team running these scripts which contain passwords . The RFE would be a massive help
This is something we are considering adding in a future release of the MQ appliance
I believe this RFE is a critical function to be available on the MQA . Without it IBM will lose a lot of potential customers.
