Uploading and downloading of files to MQ appliances using the Rest API, mandates 64 bit encoding and doesn't allow the use of curl -F , as we do 2 factor authorization we can't use copy/scp in our automation (expect) , we need a option that allow upload and download file from/to appliance like when using the webUI so that we can automate it. The RestAPI doesn't allow for such a process today. it need to be enhanced to have an equivalent of copy/scp when copy/scp can't be used for automation.

The ability to stream file content without base64 encoding it is a valid requirement. Unfortunately, it is unlikely to be prioritised sufficiently to address it within the next 12-18 months. Customers can alternatively download/upload files by using the web UI or by using the copy (SCP) command in the CLI.
A Node.js sample is available on the MQ Appliance Git repository that illustrates how a queue manager error log file can be downloaded from the MQ Appliance. This sample is available at https://github.com/ibm-messaging/mq-appliance/blob/master/rest/getQueueManagerErrorLog.js.
