Queue Accounting should include ConnName of application Connection

The MQI Accounting records include enough fields to fully identify the connection: Connection ID, ApplName, User ID, Pid, Tid, Channel Name, ConnName.

The Queue Accounting records do not. They have: Connection ID, ApplName, User ID, Pid, Tid, and added recently in V9.2.0 Channel Name.

In order to fully identify a client connected application, both Channel Name and ConnName are needed, Please add ConnName to Queue Accounting records.

Currently both MQI and Queue Accounting must be turned on and both record types must be processed to fully identify the application processing messages in a queue. This needlessly complicates management programs that are written to assist in the management of MQ.

If sufficient data is stored in the Queue Accounting data, the MQI accounting could be turned off to reduce the amount of data needed to be processed. This would reduce storage requirements on busy systems.
