MF MQ DLQ handler

We have run the Z/OS DLQ handler recently to repost DLQ msg, but application reported that the messages CCSID is converted to MF MQM CCSID 500 instead of UTF-8.

We checked that the Z/OS DLQ handler is set with default CONVERT(YES) which performs an MQGET with MQGMO_CONVERT during processing, this behavior is inconsistent to the DLQ handler in other platform.

Could IBM update the Z/OS DLQ handler default as CONVERT(NO) so that the utility behavior could align in different platforms? This does not make sense if reposting msg by default will change the anything in the original messsages.

While the default behaviour of the DLQ handler on z/OS isn't the same as distributed, we have had this behaviour for a long time - greater than 20 years. Changing it now might benefit some customers but will likely cause problems for others. So I am afraid we can't implement this.
