Ability to stream MQ Header (Descriptor) data only for Message Audit/Monitoring purpose

Customer would like MQ to be able to stream/emit MQ message header for the purpose of auditing and troubleshooting. Customer explored MQ AAT (Application Activity Trace) feature but they feel AAT is too verbose and generate too much data (e.g. MQI data). They would like to request for enhancement to be able to configure emitting just MQ header data.

We will explore MQ Exit wih client, and have them engage Lab Services if they need help. Thanks Mark

Write your own API Exit perhaps? Not a simple approach, but you can then make it do whatever you need it to do. Or there might be vendor products that already have such exits.

Thanks Mark for your updates. Apart from AAT, what are the other non-AAT/Streaming Queue option/practice to achieve similar objective we can share with client ?

Application Activity trace does have some tuning capabilities to reduce the overall amount of data being captured - in particular the level of message data. We do not think that we would make any changes to the new Streaming Queue feature to reduce the message body from the original content as most scenarios need that information. As a result we are declining this Idea. While declined, the Idea can still be commented, upon.
