When an MQ for z/OS queue manager starts up it loads about 1.2 MB of load modules into common storage for the lifetime of the queue manager address space. If there are multiple queue managers per LPAR there are multiple copies of code loaded. If this code could be added into the LPA then only a single copy would be needed as it could be shared amongst multiple queue managers at the same version. We would like it to be clearer as to how to load the modules into LPA, and perhaps have a separate load library for these modules.”

MQ 9.3.2 has re-enabled the ability for global modules to be loaded from the LPA.
We are working on an APAR for the equivalent functionality for earlier releases. Documentation updates will be made too.
We have no plans to create a seperate load library for the common modules at this time.
