The new MQ version 9.3 is still using the VC++ version 9 (released in 2008), which is too old for the Windows 2022 servers. In the requirements web site, it stated that MQ 9.3 is supported on Windows 2019 and Windows 2022. Why is it still using the VC++ version 9 to compile the MQ on Windows?

MQ itself is not using VC++ 9. A number of C runtime levels are shipped with the product and MQ is using a far more recent one from that set. However, the entire deliverable contains bundled components that are not directly developed by the MQ team and these have been known to require different C++ runtimes. It is likely that some of these components are now able to prereq newer levels. It is our intention to go through this list for the next LTS release of MQ to clean out levels of C++ that are no longer needed.
