Providing functionality related to the ability to configure Queue Manager to insert the time of processing (receiving) a message into the MQMD structure (PutTime)

Applies to subsequent Queue Managers, not the first one.

Failure to obtain the expected functionality by the customer will exclude the possibility of using the MQ solution in the Appliance version.

We do not expect to add this capability to MQ.

Alternatives do exist for calculating the time a message has been on a queue, even if they are not directly available immediately to the getting application. For example, using application activity trace.

Activity Reports (not the same thing as applkication activity trace) could potentially be used as well, but need application changes to opt into sending appropriate data in the message.
