Enhance the dmpmqcfg command with an -MQ_Appliance option to filter out inconsistencies from other platforms (i.e. Linux, AIX, Windows etc.) when migrating to an MQ Appliance

Queue Managers with thousands of objects would require too much time to manually massage (convert) the output of the dmpmqcfg to comply with one compatible with the MQ Appliance e.g. MQ Exits, SSLKEYR, Specific System objects, Local IP Address, CCSID, Queue Manager Services, Additional Listener. This discourages large customers with many already existing Queue Managers from considering a migration to the MQ Appliance from other platforms.

After evaluating this request we've decided that it should be declined. The dmpmqcfg command doesn't currently have an awareness of which commands, objects and attributes are supported on each platform, or in each environment, so it would be an amount of work to implement this feature. We don't foresee that this is something that we'd get to in the next 12-18 months.

To help MQ Appliance customers understand what changes they need to make to the dmpmqcfg output before they can import the definitions on the appliance by using runmqsc, we've created topic https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/mq-appliance/9.4?topic=installation-unsupported-objects-mqsc-commands-mq-appliance, which details the commands, objects and attributes that are not supported on the platform.
