Allow volume resizing for MQ RDQM deployments

I personally have 2 customers that are running MQ in RDQM mode and that had to perform a volume resize. The fact that they had to shutdown MQ for "maintenance" one a pain for one of these.
I've done some research on the subject and found that the technology behind MQ RDQM persistence (DRDB) is capable of supporting volume resizing. So if the storage provider allows it, why not MQ? Maybe there is limitation in MQ itself that prevents this type of manipulation while relaying messages?

It seems to be already implemented in MQ in containers. The note on the subject in the documentation seems to relegate the capability on the storage provider:

https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-mq/9.4?topic=operator-expanding-persistent-volumes

Our storage provider for MQ RDQM (DRDB) does allow it: DRDB reference: https://linbit.com/drbd-user-guide/drbd-guide-9_0-en/

Current MQ documentation for RDQM volume resize: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-mq/9.4?topic=rdqm-resizing-filesystem-ha-queue-manager
