We had a situation wherein the internal Qualys scanner(scans audit risk items) hit the ports defined in IPT config file and thus the request got forwarded to external clients. We would like a feature where we can block or black list certain IPs or hosts from hitting the ports defined in the ipt config file.
In older IPT version, the java security manager does this job. However it is marked as deprecated in the latest versions and IBM asked us to write our own exit to achieve the above ask. However being the customers, we would not want to write and maintain an exit. We would like IBM to incorporate this feature in the upcoming IPT versions by default.

This would be an excellent enhancement and it doesn't seem to be a heavy lift for IBM to add this feature. It might be good also to add a whitelist feature ... like we have with CHLAUTH records.
