OpenAPI-based REST connector should allow an update

In webMethods Integration SaaS 11.0.11.0, it is possible to create a new REST API connector based on an OpenAPI specification. webMethods will automatically generate a connector with specific operations for this API. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be possible to update the API specification with a new OpenAPI file for the existing connector. It is not even possible to make small manual changes in the generated operations.

In practice, customers will often have to support an API lifecycles with (frequent) new flavors of the APIs. As of now, they would have to generate a new REST API connector and rewire all existing integrations using the connector for every new flavor of their API.

It would be very helpful if we could offer an option to update an API specification for an existing REST API connector “in place”. Thanks!

Best regards,
Thomas
