Password Policy for CMC and APIM

We want strict password policy requirement on CMC and APIM as we can do in DataPower Gateway in RBM settings.

    Thank you for posting this request for enhancement. Please confirm that this is the same list of Password Policies that you are interested in IBM API Connect supporting for our Local User Registries.

    1. Minimum length field, enter the minimum number of characters in a password.

    2. Define characteristics for passwords.

      1. Set the Require mixed case property to indicate whether to require mixed case passwords.

      2. Set the Require nonalphanumeric property to indicate whether to require nonalphanumeric characters in passwords.

      3. Set the Require number property to indicate whether to require numeric characters in passwords.

      4. Set the Disallow username substring property to indicate whether to allow the username string in the password.If the user is george, the property controls whether to allow george1! or passgeorgeword as the password.

    3. Define password-aging.

      1. Set the Enable aging property to control password-aging. When enabled, define the maximum password age.

      2. In the Maximum age field, enter the maximum age of the password.

    4. Define password reuse.

      1. Set the Control reuse property to control the reuse of previous passwords. When enabled, define the reuse history.

      2. In the Reuse history field, enter the number of past passwords to compare against for reuse.
