We have requirement to migrate the API’s hosted in a catalog to another catalog were spaces are enabled

We have requirement to migrate the API’s hosted in a catalog to another catalog were spaces are enabled. So the API’s will be migrated to different spaces in the new Catalog. A good number of API’s in the catalog, manually migrating  the API’s is not a possible option. What is the recommendation from IBM end for this requirement, How this can be achieved?

Will backup and restore capability be of any help here?

What is the best option/recommendation to migrate the consumers from one portal to another portal?

Is it possible to migrate the analytics part of the API’s to new Catalog/space?

Based on the response from IBM Expert Labs resource this is not possible OOTB and we are raising this RFE to request this feature to be included in the near future.

Response from IBM Expert Labs

Initial thoughts are that we could use the developer toolkit CLI commands to ‘get’ all the relevant APIs and then republish them. This also gives access to things like the consumer organisation which allows us to get consumer orgs and potentially recreate them in the new catalog, same for apps etc. https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/api-connect/10.0.x?topic=tool-api-development-management-commands This would need some thought into how it will work, how they will map etc. This will move consumer orgs but you might need to share a user registry for a new portal and im not sure what the end user experience would be like without testing it out. I don’t think the existing analytics will migrate across to another catalog unfortunately.

@Matthew Fawcett Would we be able to support this pattern using Config Sync either today or with some enhancements?
