based on support ticket TS016226755, it's divided in to 4 sub items. This idea is opened for this item "Markdown in Schema"

Of the four issues two would need to be raised as RFEs https://ideas.ibm.com/

- Markdown not rendering correct (ie. Tables) in OAI3

- Markdown in Schema

I would advise that these two issues are separated into two PMRs.

- Raw YAML description is rewritten by the APIM to be double spaced. (New support team needs to be opened by customer)

- Raw YAML description switches between ">-"(folded style) and "|-"(literal style). (TS016226755)

    OpenAPI Specification v3 specifies the use of CommonMark (https://spec.commonmark.org/) as a markdown syntax so that is what IBM uses. OpenAPI v2 supported GitHub Flavored Markdown spec so at that point we did use to support their syntax extensions for tables.

    CommonMark does not define a table creation syntax but can include HTML Blocks as part of the definition. If you would like IBM to support other rich text formats not specified in the OpenAPI Spec please vote and comment on the following request: https://integration-development.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/APICONN-I-864

    For other items requested in this Idea please open up unique Ideas for each item and provide additional details, samples, business case/justifications for the enhancements. Support ticket rarely provide these information and any attachments of the support tickets provided as examples are not available to product management for data-privacy reasons.
