All of the AWS service connectors in the IBM Automation Explorer do not support the ability to utilize role-based authentication and thus make them unusable for our entire organization. The connectors appear to support only user-level authentication, which AWS itself describes as NOT a best practice from a security standpoint. Within my organization, all of our AWS account access and authorization controls are all based on roles and role assumptions in order to interact with different system components. It would be extremely beneficial of all AWS connectors provided by IBM would be updated to support role-based authentication as the current best practice recommended by AWS.

Thank you for taking the time to raise this request, which we agree would bring additional value to the AWS Discovery Connectors (which are used in our software, container and managed service form factors). FYI @Varun Jain ... Status updated to Future Consideration.
