improve network policy handling for TCP ports

We recently had an issue connecting a TCP port to an ACE container. To get it to work we had to disable the network policy

defaultNetworkPolicy:

enabled: false


This doesn't sound like the best solution for this issue.


What we have done is to use a TCP node in a flow to accept messages sent as straight TCP. To facilitate this in a Kubernetes cluster we setup a Load Balancer service in the cluster to handle the port with a static IP. After building that, we still could not connect to the application on that port. The solution to that was to disable the default network policy entirely.
