Enable generic Idoc routing for the outbound direction

In WMB V8, there is a 'generic Idoc routing' pattern provided for inbound (Idocs received from SAP as messages), but there is none for outbound (messages sent to SAP as Idocs). It is even not possible to implement this pattern manually, because messages within the 'DataObject' domain can not currently be serialized as flat BLOBs (they can only be serialized as XML).
My customer is eager to implement this 'generic Idoc pattern' for the outbound direction too.

RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been in the status of Uncommitted Candidate. As part of our policy for regularly reassessing aged RFEs we have recently discussed this enhancement request and as noted at the last review in September 2020 we highlight that support for this has been small (2 votes since its creation in 2013). In light of this, and the many other business priorities with which we are faced, we have decided not to take this enhancement request forward so on this occasion we are closing the RFE.

RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been in the status of Under Consideration. We agree that this enhancement suggestion would bring extra value to the product for some users. Whilst we note that the suggestion has only gathered 2 votes over several years, and therefore it is unlikely that priority will be given to this RFE soon, but we will keep it open for now and continue to monitor. Status of this RFE is updated to Uncommitted Candidate.
