Certificate-based authentication for DB2 connections from IIB 10.1 (on z/OS)

We currently have a number of IIB 10.1 Nodes running on z/OS. These attach locally to a DB2 subsystem on the same lpar. Authentication of the connection is currently done through use of static passwords. Our IT Security team are pushing us to switch to another means of authentication, but I haven't found one so far. For our ACE nodes on z/Linux we have been able to move to certificate-based authentication through updates to the parameters in the db2cli.ini files. For IIB 10.1 on z/OS I have not found another means of authenticating DB2 connections, either through the use of certificates or via a RACF-based trust mechanism. As our IIB 10.1 nodes already have certificates, keyrings and AT-TLS policies it would be convenient to also use these for DB2 authentication, unless a better solution already exists within the z/OS security offerings.
