This is an IBM Automation portal for Integration products. I would like to have Support for File adapters for QSAM node (IA11) included as part of IIB v9.0 or to be fully supported.
z./OS does not have a file (dataset) node as part of IIB. The only way to access QSAM dataset is through IA11, which is not fully supported by IBM.
All other platforms with IIB are able to use the File Input, Output and Read nodes.

RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been held in status of Uncommitted Candidate. Whilst it is not currently a high priority to further formalise the support position of the QSAM nodes, this is something which we are repetitively (if occasionally) asked for. For this reason we intend to keep the door open on this topic as a potential future enhancement, so will continue to monitor over time. Status of the RFE is maintained as Uncommitted Candidate.
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Connectivity and Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
Thanks for raising this requirement; file support is very important to us across all of our supported platforms. we'll look at providing equivalent capability to the QSAM nodes in the core product in time.
