ACE-GoogleCloud PubSub-not able to access using service account-publisher/subscriber role

Using the Google Service Account authentication JSON file, we are successfully able to publish messages to the Pub/Sub topic using both Python and Java applications.

The ACE integration is able to connect successfully to the Google Cloud project. We can connect to their the project through Launch Connector Discovery, which indicates that authentication and connectivity are working correctly.

The issue occurs only when attempting to publish/subscribe messages to the Pub/Sub topic using the ACE Google Cloud Pub/Sub node.

We have observed that if the required permissions are granted to the service account at the Google Cloud Project level, the ACE node is able to publish messages successfully.

However, when permissions are granted at the Pub/Sub Topic level -(PubSub Publisher role for ServiceAccount) (which is the customer's preferred and recommended approach), the ACE node fails to publish messages.

Based on the above findings, it appears that the ACE Google Cloud Pub/Sub Request node may not be correctly handling or honoring topic-level IAM permissions, even though the same service account works successfully outside of ACE.

Could IBM please investigate and fix this product defect on the Google Cloud Pub/Sub node?
