With the increasing use of WS-Security for hosting WebServices, the workaround of using the HTTPRequest node is no longer a viable option.
RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been held in Uncommitted Candidate status. As part of our standard approach to RFEs we regularly re-assess those in Uncommitted Candidate status for continued relevance. Despite this request being open for several years, and supported by a relatively small number of votes, we still wish to preserve the status as we feel this would add long-term value to the product. Whilst there is a relatively easy workaround of using the HTTPRequest node available, it would be great to replicate the boolean redirect property which it has on the SOAPRequest node. Status of the RFE is maintained as Uncommitted Candidate.

Thanks for raising this requirement, and completely agreed that it would be desirable for IIB to follow the redirect when using SOAP with the HTTP binding. We'll look to schedule this in in a follow-on release or fixpack.
