This is an IBM Automation portal for Integration products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Idea / RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been held in Uncommitted Candidate / Future Consideration status. Unfortunately business prioritization has not yet led us to implement this requirement, and we are somewhat surprised that the community has not come forward with more widespread support for this area (2 votes since the suggestion was raised in April 2014). When using IIB / ACE Compute nodes to invoke a database stored procedure, ACE must implicitly be able to cast between the database data type and the corresponding ESQL data type. We document a table of supported data types in the IBM Documentation here:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/app-connect/11.0.0?topic=functions-data-types-values-from-external-databases
As noted, the product does not currently offer a mapping for the Oracle Record Type data type, although with the concept of ACE tree structures to represent arrays and ESQL ROW variables, we do have some options for how this could potentially be done in future. Until such time as this request is prioritized, one possible workaround could be to use an intermediate stored procedure to combine multiple separate IN parameters together. We realise this is less than ideal and therefore despite the current evidence of limited support, we still see value in this idea. For now the status is maintained as Uncommitted Candidate / Future Consideration but we will continue to accept votes on this topic and keep the idea on our radar for a future release.
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Connectivity and Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
Thanks for raising this requirement, good future enhancement to our stored procedures capability.
