Idea / RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been held in Uncommitted Candidate / Future Consideration status. Unfortunately on this occasion we do not intend to carry this idea further forward. Whilst we acknowledge the 8 votes which this request has garnered, the vast majority of WESB users have now already undergone conversion to other technologies, so the business need in this area is somewhat diminished. There is also an option to use MQ as a linking technology or zOS Connect for this kind of use case if required. Status of the idea is closed.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Connectivity and Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB

Thank you for raising this RFE. We agree that a built-in IMS Input node would improve IIB's capabilities and, as noted in the use case, it would be very helpful as we continue the journey of enhancements driven by IIB adopting WESB use cases. As you're aware Joerg, the next version of IIB will continue to grow our WESB conversion capabilities, and as we move further forward into the future we'll continue to assess all areas where WESB functionality does not have a direct equivalent in IIB. In the meantime of course, we'd hope that the use of an IIB User Defined Node might help you move forward until this RFE can be delivered. Status of this RFE is updated to Uncommitted Candidate.
