Add validation to the mqsiapplybaroverride command

Currently it is possible to add invalid entries into the deployment descriptor of a BAR file using the mqsiapplybaroverride command. For example if you input additionalinstances=kittens, this value is accepted.

It is also possible to add invalid properties, for example if there is no flow in the bar file it is still possible to add in additionalinstances=4

Would it be possible to add validation so that only valid input is allowed for
properties such as additionalinstances or for a warning message to be generated if the input isn't valid?

    RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been in the status of Uncommitted Candidate. As part of our policy for regularly reassessing aged RFEs we have recently discussed this enhancement request and although we have been unable to justify the business priority of this requirement so far, it remains on our radar for potential future development. As part of our next major engineering release (for which Beta drivers are available here: https://ibm.biz/eXp-appcon-open-beta) we are revisiting the "source to server" processes we have for building BAR files and taking data from version control through to multiple runtime environments (containerized and traditional on-metal). Although initial release of this version may not get as far as this requirement which is in a very similar area of the product, it remains on our list for attention in a later fix pack. Status of the RFE is maintained as Uncommitted Candidate.

    Hi Emma, thanks a lot for raising this RFE. This sounds like a very sensible improvement for IIB. I think this other RFE is trying to express similar thoughts:

    However, the usecase is described particularly clearly here on 62154. Status of this RFE is updated to Uncommitted Candidate.
