Enhance the TcpipServerInput node of IIB with IP filtering feature

When a client connects to the TcpipServerInput node, the node should check a list of allowed IPs/hosts or a list of disallowed IPs/hosts in configurable services. For example,

Allowed: 192.168.1.7, 176.12.*, prod.broker.kp.org
Disallowed: qa.*.kp.org, dev.*.kp.org, uat.*.kp.org

Of course,
if the incoming ip/host is found in 'Allowed', continue the connection;
if it is found in 'Disallowed', reject the connection;
if both Allowed and Disallowed are not specified, allows everyone to connect.

    Idea / RFE review. Apologies for the length of time this idea has been in the status of Uncommitted Candidate / Future Consideration. Whilst this suggestion has not received widespread support from our user base (possibly because most raw TCP socket based applications are deployed behind a firewall, where checking of IP address / hostname and wildcarding is not the primary means of securing the service ?! ... noting that perhaps securing via TLS and then using certs to ensure only trusted apps can connect), we still see utility in the idea. We will keep the Idea open for now to see if it attracts further interest.

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Integration
    Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Connectivity and Integration
    Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB

    Thank you for raising this requirement. As discussed over email, this requirement is for both IP filtering on the TCP nodes themselves as well as the exposing of these properties on the IIB Healthcare pack's HL7DFDLInput node. This sounds like a good enhancement for the product which we will consider for a future release. Status of the this RFE is updated to Uncommitted candidate.
