Idea / RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this idea has been in the status of Uncommitted Candidate / Future Consideration. As you'll be aware, these days the App Connect Enterprise product offers the distribution of statistics data across a variety of protocols which still include MQ or MQTT, in addition to a real-time mechanism into the web UI. Given this, the web ui approach may be more relevant for the use case posed where it seems to be of importance that the data doesn't lay around indefinitely. Also, focussing on the pedantic need expressed, MQ publications could still be used and then set up the subscription to expire data sent to a particular queue. Given these other mechanisms for achieving the use case, and having gathered only 2 supporting votes since opened, unfortunately on this occasion we will not be taking this suggestion further forward at this time.
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Connectivity and Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
Thank you for clarifying. The status of this RFE is upated to Uncommitted Candidate.
Yes. That should work if MQ periodically purges the expired messages.
Thanks for raising. Could you clarify exactly what you feel is needed here - are you suggesting you'd like the ability to have the MQMD Expiry field set on messages which are published on Accounting Statistics topics?
