Idea / RFE Review. Further to the last comment, we have now amalgamated the build commands mentioned as part of the ibmint command enhancement ... and we also have maven support for seeking out binary dependencies when building a bar … so the product has definitely evolved in this functional area but for sure there is more we could potentially do to link BARs together. However, with only 2 votes since creation in 2016 it is difficult to justify further changes in this space at this time.
RFE Review. Thank you for taking the time to raise this request for enhancement and apologies it has been in Submitted status for so long. We absolutely agree that offering the capability to more easily create and repackage BARs would bring improved flexibility and would be a great enhancement for the product. We are planning on looking into this, including the amalgamation of mqsibar, mqsicreatebar and mqsipackagebar as part of a future release. Status of the RFE is updated to Uncommitted Candidate.
