This is an IBM Automation portal for Integration products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Only one group can be defined for each security profile for the purposes of creating a authentication profile through WMB. In configuring a security for a SOAP input nude only one profile name may be used. Because of the mapping of principals to groups at this customer new groups must be defined just to accommodate this function. Simply put, the configuration properties field ( Security Profile ) and the underlying implementation in WMB need to accept more than one profile.

Idea / RFE Review. Although the initial request referenced authentication (validating the username and password), ACE would classify a group membership check in LDAP as an authorization action. Authorization can be configured with or without authentication, and more recent releases of ACE have enabled LDAP authorization (which wasnt available when this RFE was initially raised many years ago) and there are specific documented examples including LDAP queries with multiple groups (see base of page https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/app-connect/11.0.0?topic=profile-creating-security-ldap). Given these updates we are closing this Idea as delivered, but on the off-chance we have misunderstood the requirement here then please let us know.
RFE Review. Apologies we have not yet managed to prioritize the implementation of this RFE. Given other business priorities and noting the solitary RFE vote that this request has received we are moving the status to Uncommitted Candidate but will continue to monitor.
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Connectivity and Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
Thanks for raising this requirement. Web Services Security is an important theme for MB which we are actively working. We would like to allow multiple groups to be supported and this feature is a strong candidate for a follow-on fixpack or release.
