Hello,
We recently had to open a PMR (TS001192467) due to a new behavior implemented in IIB 10.0.0.10.
This behavior is coming from IT21575, and IBM lab provided us this information about it : "Note that the Properties folder will be copied, if it exists even if it is removed from the map, so having it defined in the map is not necessary."
Since the Properties field is not mandatory anymore and is auto mapped if not present, it would make more sense to not have it present by default on the mapping node.
This change is about making more sense, but as part of our PMR, it also created an issue. Now the Properties have to be present if mapped (move). If it is not present, the mapping node crash with a huge java stack. If not mapped, it works.
In my opinion, it should then be reflected on the default map file generated. This property folder should be added if needed, instead of currently being removed if not needed.

Thank you for raising this RFE and apologies for the time period it has been in Submitted status. We note that it is a straight forward task to remove the Properties folder mapping ("Move") which is generated by default when a map is first created, should a user not like it. We also note that most users will appreciate the Properties folder being shown as being mapped across by default. Given this, we don't see an urgent need to enhance the product in the fashion described, but we do agree there could be a small advantage to offer a user an option as part of the initial map creation wizard to choose not to have this Properties mapping shown. Therefore, although unlikely to receive prioritization soon, we are updating the status of this RFE to Uncommitted Candidate.
