This is an IBM Automation portal for Integration products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been held in Uncommitted Candidate status. The comments on this RFE suggest that despite its initial summary title, the request here was really about provision of a method to check the identities which have previously been supplied as related to a particular data source object. This capability has subsequently been provided (quite some time ago now!) with the mqsireportdbparms command. More recently, we have added extra capabilities for storage of credentials with the mqsivault and mqsicredentials commands in ACEv11. These commands provide an alternative to mqsisetdbparms which uses full encryption which many users may prefer. In future we intend to extend the existing administrative REST API which already allows GET methods to find out whether credentials have been defined of a particular type, to allow users to programatically define their own user-defined credentials, and then access them from within a flow (in a secure manner). Given this wider remit, we will leave this RFE open longer in case it was with this interpretation in mind that folks have voted for it. Status is maintained as Uncommitted Candidate and we will continue to monitor this functional area for signs of popularity.
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Connectivity and Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
I can not recall why I stated the need to access this info from a flow. I can not imagine why we would want to permit that. The ability to report, from an administrative command, the userid associated with named resource does make sense to me.
Thanks for raising this requirement. It's interesting that you need to access these identities from within a message flow, rather than as an administrative command (e.g. something like mqsireportdbparms). The desire to report these properties is understood and we'll accept the requirement, but if you have any details on the use-case for accessing from within the flow itself that would be most helpful. Thanks!
