In accordance with the announced deprecation of Basic Authentication in Exchange Online (O365) by Microsoft, as well as the modernization of IT environment, we are working on the project to transition of our Application / Solution / Device to Modern Authentication (OAuth 2.0 token-based authorization),
Currently the IIB application Email Input Node and Email Output node have used Basic Authentication (also known as Legacy Auth.) to Email Server with the simple username and password often stored on the device or in the code.
Our goal is to use with the Modern Authentication solution , before official deprecation of the Basic Authentication for impacted protocols on October 1st 2022.
Basic Auth is an outdated industry standard and Microsoft is removing the ability (without exception) to use Basic Auth in Exchange online - O365 for the following protocols:
Our application uses these Email Input/output node to connect mail box. Could you please help us to know is it feasible to switch from Basic Authentication to OAuth 2.0 for the Email Input node which is primarily being used for polling mail box and Email Output Node to send Email. And also let us know the way forward for the solution

A feature to support OAuth for the EmailInput and EmailOutput nodes has now been added in ACE 12.0.11.0
Hi IBM?
Any idea when this will be available? This is also urgent for us as Microsoft wants us to move to O365.
Thanks
Hi IBM,
A feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hi IBM,
As mentioned in an IBM support forabout the subject, our company uses the ReceiveMail node to import information from our partners files, about almost 1000 emails per day are processed with ACE12.
We are tied hands, we managed to extend until the end of 2022, but then we will stop serving our partners.
It is very important that Node compatibility with OAuth2 is implemented by IBM.
Regards
Apologies that this requirement has not yet been made a business priority. We realise the inconvenience this creates and we will endeavour to get to this requirement as soon as we can in a future product release.
Hi IBM team... it's almost October 1, 2022 and the node will become obsolete for any sort of integration with App Connect. Any update on the idea?
Idea / RFE Review. Thank you for taking the time to raise this suggestion. We agree that modernizing the authentication used by the App connect Enterprise EmailInput node would bring benefit to the product. Status of the idea is updated to Future Consideration.
